I had a wonderful stay at Pelican Bay Hotel. The location was perfect for relaxation, right on a canal with easy access to Taino Beach via a free ferry. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The only downsides were that the workout room was small, and we had a minor issue with the lock on our ground floor door. Overall, it was a great value and a lovely experience.

My stay at the resort was a mix of positives and negatives. The location was beautiful with lovely grounds and pools, but the initial room placement was disappointing, and the staff at the front desk was unhelpful during my stay. The facilities were well-maintained, and the ferry service to the beach was a nice perk, but dining options fell short, especially with limited hours. Overall, it was a decent experience but there is definitely room for improvement.

Rooms

The room was spacious and clean, though the placement near the laundry and golf cart parking was unfortunate for my light-sleeping husband.
Service

Unfortunately, the service at the front desk was not great; one staff member was particularly unhelpful. However, other staff members were friendly throughout our stay.

The resort is set in a gorgeous area, close to the beach and surrounded by beautiful grounds. I also appreciated the ferry access to Taino Beach.
Dining

Breakfast options were decent but repetitive, and the service at the swim-up bar was unreliable as they didn't open on time.

The pools were lovely and well-kept, which made for a relaxing environment, though I felt a bit alone during the day.

We had an unforgettable weekend at Pelican Bay! The room was stunning with a lovely view of the canal, and the service was top-notch, particularly from Elanor, who really made our stay special. The grounds were beautiful, and being close to the Lucaya Shopping area was a huge plus. However, the buffet breakfast was overpriced and didn't meet our expectations.

We enjoyed lunch at Sabor Restaurant by the pool, but the buffet breakfast was quite disappointing considering the price.

I had a great experience at the hotel, enjoying the relaxing atmosphere and the friendly service. However, there were some issues with the room condition which detracted from my overall enjoyment. The location was fantastic for exploring the local area and accessing the beautiful Taino Beach, though the dining options could be improved. Overall, it was a memorable stay with plenty of pros.

Rooms

I stayed in a newly renovated room with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. However, the previous room I occupied was quite decrepit with old furniture and cleanliness issues, leading to a mixed experience.

I found myself at Pelican Bay for a short stay and had a mixed experience. On the plus side, the location is fantastic, with easy access to shops and restaurants, and the breakfast was delicious. The pools were great too. However, the room was a big letdown due to its outdated condition and cleanliness issues. Also, the prices for food and drinks were quite steep, which made dining a challenge.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was in dire need of renovation, with old furniture and cleanliness issues that made it uncomfortable. I would rate it quite low.
Service
6.0
Service varied; while some staff were polite, the overall housekeeping was lacking and left much to be desired.
Location
9.0
The hotel is excellently located, just a short walk to the marketplace and the ferry to Taino Beach, which I really appreciated.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast options were plentiful and tasty but at a high price. I found it better to venture out for meals where possible.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel boasts three lovely pools and a spa, adding to the overall vacation feel, but it's more about the ambiance than modern amenities.
